Abortion Support

Consultation
>
A complimentary in-person consultation (30min to 1hr) is offered to anyone considering the support of an abortion doula.
> Your doula will reserve space for you to discern, feel, and restore โ€” all with peace and understanding. For an abortion, the role of a doula is to hold a steady, nonjudgmental, and compassionate presence surrounding your procedure of choice.

Before/during
> Services can include:

  • Meeting before your procedure (once or twice, depending on your preference) to process and talk through your needs, concerns, and expectations

  • Answering questions about the options available to you and how to navigate them

  • Assistance scheduling a procedure

  • Accompaniment to and from your termination procedure, door to door, via your preferred transportation

  • Presence through your procedure (depending on termination route) to hold space with whatever kind of energy you need

During/after
> Services can include:

  • Meal preparation

  • Physical comfort / guided movement

  • Sharing art supplies / making space for creation & writing as a way of processing

  • Holding space for reflections on spirituality/faith

  • Following up further after your procedure (if desired) for extended grief support

  • Referrals for routine and ongoing support (support groups, counseling, etc.)

Abortion doula fee
The role of an abortion doula is deeply individual, based on need and setting. Because my abortion support varies so widely, any cost is based on individual consultation. No one will be turned away on the basis of cost. In addition to my own services, I am more than glad to make referrals to trusted peers and collectives who offer care and accompaniment.
